Michael English Publishing is a new publishing house, established to introduce new and exciting titles to the book market. We have a passion for photography and this will be reflected in our list of titles as it grows. We are based at Garrowby, near York.

We aim to produce beautifully crafted books. All of our books are limted editions. Each imprint is limited to 60 copies, signed and numbered (plus 3 artists proofs). Quality and design is of paramount importance to us, it will be designed and produced with care and precision.

Michael English trained as a photographer and typographer at Leicester College of Art and Ealing School of Photography. After time spent in London working for various advertising agencies and magazine clients he worked for EMAP National Publications, leaving to join Unitam Creative Marketing. He set up his design practise in 1978.

He has won several awards for magazine design and was elected a Member of the Chartered Society of Designers in 1996.
